Movie Overview

They Call Him OG is Sujeeth’s stylish and violent tribute to Pawan Kalyan, set in the bloodstained underworld of 1990s Bombay. The film follows Ojas Gambheera, a mob enforcer who refuses to use guns and instead wields a katana a character detail that gives the action sequences a genuinely fresh visual identity. Pawan Kalyan looks every bit the Original Gangster the title promises, and his physicality, style, and delivery of key moments are unquestionably the film’s biggest strength. Emraan Hashmi makes an impressive Telugu debut as the cold-blooded villain Omi Bhau, and his scenes opposite Pawan Kalyan have an enjoyable tension. Ravi K. Chandran and Manoj Paramahamsa’s cinematography is extraordinary this might be one of the best-looking Telugu films of 2025 technically. The film’s biggest weakness is its thin, predictable story that the visual spectacle cannot fully cover, but for fans of Pawan Kalyan and high-octane gangster action, OG is a worthwhile big-screen experience.
